  This was my second time in the Stein Valley from the Lytton side and third time on the Stein Trail. I managed to go further this time and stopping at the bridge which is now closed due to the wildfires and possibly slope stability issues. Really hoping it gets fixed sometime soon... Please and thank you BC Parks An interesting ferry crossing over the Fraser River. Now 24/7 and run by the ministry of Transportation.   We took the Coleman Glacier route and was able to drive to the trailhead in mid June 2025 then hike with skis for a few kilometres before skinning off the summer trail that extends to the viewpoint.  See GPS link here Driving to Heliotrope Ridge Trailhead   Kulshon Creek Hogsback campsite We transitioned at these rocks Skinning up from here. Further along the trail would have brought us further away from the Coleman Demming route anyway Harrison Camp Tent city on this Saturday morning. There were several guided groups out here also.  Not much visibility for most of the day. Taking a GPS coordinates of a massive crevasse . You can't ski right from the parking lot like I was able to do a few weeks ago  I really like how the resort and BC Parks seem to leave you alone and let you ski these runs after the resort closes. The Whistler staff can be jerks sometimes. I get that it is private property but also little harm not always a foul... I was surprised to see them snow plowing a route up the mountain. Seems like lots of work instead of just waiting a few weeks for the snow to melt. Not sure how much Cypress does in the summer for operations Top of Strachan Some route finding on the way down to avoid the brush And some wipeouts and slides onto dry ground Skiing under Sky Chair It got rocky near the bottom so best to transition early.   This page is going to be a quick summary of the mountain bikes routes around Squamish starting April 2025. I have been doing sessions of only about 2 hours and enjoying the trips out there exploring new terrain. Some of the trails are the classics which I am sure I will get more familiar with while others I am content just riding once. This morning I spent a while on trailforks adding multiple routes to my list. I am still very new to this sport and can ride blues with confidence and a select blacks (barely). I had a few over the bar falls and oh boy is this a dangerous sport. I enjoy finding flow and exploring new areas instead of tech and jumps.  Chilling at a bench. A good and long first spot to break from the parking lot.  On the climb trail near the start of Full Nelson Half Nelson is one of the classic trails at Diamond Head. Nice flow.
