Desolation Wilderness and South Lake Tahoe
I flew into Sacramento and immediately rented a car to access the Seirra Nevada mountains. I was coming off a night shift so didn't want to commit to the full 2 hour drive on the first day to South Lake Tahoe. I stopped at the Desolation Wilderness area.

These guys were part of a group of 3 from Sacramento who went on a chill 1 night trip with a planned car shuttle move for exiting out of the same trailhead I started. Apparently their buddy hiked back the way they came to move the car himself so they didn't have to Uber... too bad as I had offered them a ride!
