Hiking Shek O Beach to D'Aguillar Peak and Windy Gap

  My first 2 days upon landing in Hong Kong Lots going on in the city. These two level trams and buses were a great way to get around and have a good view of everything.  Peering to Hong Kong Island. This helicopter was flying back and forth throughout the morning.  Green spaces are nice because they provide a straight forward route to walk through the city. Hong Kong is not a walk able city due to all the overpasses and limited crosswalks. Finding a bus stop near busy streets is especially challenging.  Kowloon Park McDonald's advertisement  The tomato noodle soup with egg and Hong Kong milk tea was on special One of the first views I had upon exiting the MTR at Kawloon Station King's Street Where I stayed for the first couple nights. Desolation Wilderness and South Lake Tahoe

With 4 days total and 2 full days, I rented a car in Sacramento and planned to drive through Eldorado National Forest to South Lake Tahoe and Truckee California before reaching Donner Pass and descending back into Sacramento. This post is the first 2 days.  Highway 50 Eastbound Twin Bridges Tract Ralston Trailhead Desolation Wilderness Boundary There was a significant forest fire on the lower slopes Looking across the valley at the West Bowl Express Chairlift of Sierra At Tahoe Resort Junction trail to the Ralston Peak  Old military ammo can for the summit  Lake Aloha and the direction of the Desolation Valley Upper and Lower Echo Lakes These guys were part of a group of 3 from Sacramento who went on a chill 1 night trip with a planned car shuttle move for exiting out of the same trailhead I started. Apparently their buddy hiked back the way they came to move the car himself so they didn't have to Uber... too bad as I had offered them a ride! Tacos on the way to South Lak...
