Hiking the East Side of the Stein Valley

Image
This was my second time in the Stein Valley from the Lytton side and third time on the Stein Trail. I managed to go further this time and stopping at the bridge which is now closed due to the wildfires and possibly slope stability issues. Really hoping it gets fixed sometime soon... Please and thank you BC Parks An interesting ferry crossing over the Fraser River. Now 24/7 and run by the ministry of Transportation. It looks like heavy labour being the crew working with the ropes Looking down from the Devil's staircase A very special place with Lytton FN The fire burned up these steep scree slopes Nice spots along the river. I think this was Teepee campsite Fire jumped the river Effects of the wildfires The brush is going wild where the trail is now closed This boulder rolled down the mountain and didn't manage to fully break the wood base of the bridge but enough to close it  Insert pic of my first time here with the crew Go Ratlers go! Super fun place to stop by
